  •   Salleri to Everest Base Camp Trek in Nepal – 19 days
    • Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)
     
    • You will be received by our trek representative and transfer to hotel.
     
    • Day 2: Kathmandu: sightseeing and trek preparation
     
    • We will go around Kathmandu for the Day. Temples and shrines that are a part of UNESCO world heritage will be visited along with Darbar Marg.
     
    • Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Salleri (2,390m/7,841ft): 8-9 hours
     
    • Our journey to Salleri starts in the morning with the 9 hour drive. Enjoy the scenic beauty on route.
     
    • Day 4: Salleri to Nunthala (2,220m/7,280 ft): 6 -7 hours
     
    • Our trekking journey starts as we walk through Salleri bazaar to reach Phaplu. Crossing few villages and a dense forest we trek down gently yo Nunthala.
     
    • Day 5: Nunthala to Bupsa (2,360m/7,740 ft): 5-6 hours
     
    • We trek through the Dudh Koshi river bridge and cross the terraced fields to enter Bupsa up on a hill.
     
    • Day 6: Bupsa to Chaurikharka (2,650m/8,694ft)
     
    • This day is spent to trek through the forest crossing the mani walls to reach Chaurikharka. The night is spent in Chaurikharka.
     
    • Day 7: Chaurikharka to Monjo (2,840m/9,315ft): 4 - 5 hours
     
    • We start today's trek from Chaurikharka after breakfast. A 5 hours of trek along the beautiful mountain peaks will lead us to Monjo-the destination of the day.
     
    • Day 8: Monjo to Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280 ft): 3 - 4 hours
     
    • As we continue to trek towards Namche Bazaar, your pathway will be eclipsed by the spectacular vast ranges of mountains through the dense forest along the Dudh Koshi River. Glimpses of Mt. Everest is seen.
     
    • Day 9: Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar: (3,440m/11,284ft)
     
    • We go around Namche bazaar to acclimatize and explore the rich Buddhist culture. The Namche Museum and Monastery is quite a lovely site.
     
    • Day 10: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m/12,694ft): 10km, 5 - 6 hours
     
    • The route of the trek will be along the alluring water of Dudh Koshi River. As we reach Tengboshe, you will visit its oldest monastery having a 20-feet Buddha statue.
     
    • Day 11: Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m/14,300 ft): 9km, 5 - 6 hours
     
    • Walking through the dense rhododendron forest we come across the pangbuche gate. We will reach Dingboche after seeing the oldest monastery in Mt. Everest.
     
    • Day 12: Dingboche: acclimatization
     
    • Sighseeing in Dingboche in order to acclimatize. You will be seeing the Nangkartshang peak and Ama Dablam peak.
     
    • Day 13: Dingboche to Lobuche (4940 m/16,207 ft): 7km, 5-6 hours
     
    • Trekking up towards Dhugla we will walk through the beautiful forest as we get the view of the Tawache peak. Trekking along the view of Khumbu glacier we reach the foothills of Lobuche.
     
    • Day 14: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,170 m/16,961ft), visit Everest Base Camp (5,364 m/17,594 ft): 13km, 6-7 hours
     
    • Quite a challenging trek along the glacier we will go up to Gorak Shep. While you visit the everest base camp the view of Khumbu Icefall is mesmerizing.
     
    • Day 15: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545m/18,192ft) to Pherice (4,288m/14,070ft): 16km, 7-8 hours
     
    • Ascending towards Kala patthar from Gorak Shep you get the spectacular view of the snow capped peaks of the Himalayan range. We descend down to Gorak shep and trek down to reach Pherice.
     
    • Day 16: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,280 ft): 20km, 6 - 7 hours
     
    • While retreating down to Namche Bazaar we will cross the beautiful Buddhist settlement. You will get to see many animals like pheasants and musk deer to name a few.
     
    • Day 17: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,860m/9,186ft): 19km, 6 - 7 hours
     
    • In about a 7 hour trek we will reach Lukla. The simple yet spectacular view of the mountains during the journey is sure to mesmerize you.
     
    • Day 18: Fly to Kathmandu
     
    • We will be flying down to Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel where you can explore the place.
     
    • Day 19: Final departure

Everest Base Camp Trekking in Nepal


  • Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m/4,428ft)

  • You will meet the trip representative on the first day at the Tribhuvan International airport who will take you to the standard hotel as booked in Kathmandu. You will be introduced to your trekking guide in there. You will get to taste the quintessential Nepalese cuisine at the welcome dinner.

  • Day 2: Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding (2,651m/8,700ft): 40 minutes flight; 8km, 3 - 4 hours trek

  • The group will fly to Luka from the airport. A 40 minutes of flight after which you can expect a dramatic landing on the hills of Luka-the start of base camp. You will be going downhill to Choplung-a Sherpa settlement. The trek will continue to Dudh Koshi valley and go up to the Ghat. After trekking for an hour, you will reach the destination of the day- Phakding.

  • Day 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280 ft): 11km, 5 - 6 hours

  • Trekking continues after breakfast through the pine forest along the beautiful Dudh Koshi River. You will be trekking through some suspension bridges crossing few villages like Chimoa, Benkar and Monjo. The trek group will also cross the Jorsole National park permit check point where you will get to see the beautiful Mt.Thamserku (6,618m). The glimpse of the mighty Mt. Everest will be witnessed while crossing the Tenzing Hilary suspension bridge. The destination of the day will be Namche bazaar, after crossing the alluring pine forest.

  • Day 4: Acclimatization Day - Namche Bazaar: (3,440m/11,284ft)

  • Day 4 is kept to acclimatize to the thin air in Namche Bazaar. Among a number of things to do, you have good restaurants and cafĂ© to go to. Furthermore, the Sagarmath (Everest) National Park visitor centre is quite a spot where you can know more about the popular Sherpa culture, the Everest ascenders and the flora and fauna of the region. There will be a trip to Khumjung- a Sherpa village, while you get the view of Thameserku, Ama Damlin and so on.

  • Day 5: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m/12,694ft): 10km, 5- 6 hours

  • On Day 5 you will be trekking towards Tengbonche along the Dudh Kosi River having the view of the mountains. You will be visiting a Buddhist monastery once you reaching Tengbonche where you get to witness a 20-feet statue of Buddha. You will attend the prayer ceremony too.

  • Day 6: Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m/14,300 ft): 9km, 5 - 6 hours

  • You will continue to trek down through the rhododendron forest after breakfast. After seeing a nunnery in Dibuche, trekking will continur till we reach the Pangbuche gate. The oldest monastery of Mount Everest presented will be visited. Lunch will be served at Syomare. Post lunch we may have a windy trek to reach Dingboche-the destination of the day.

  • Day 7: Dingboche: Acclimatization

  • Not much of the trekking will be done today as acclimatization to the altitude is important. The nangkartshang peak is something that cannot be missed. It has a beautiful viewpoint. You can witness the Ama Dablam clearly in case the weather is clear. Taking is stroll in the village will also be an exciting experience.

  • Day 8: Dingboche to Duglha (4,600 m/15,090 ft): 4km, 3 - 4 hours

  • You will be trekking towards Dhukla after witnessing the Tawache peak. The trek will be of around 4 hours. Overnight in Dughla.

  • Day 9: Duglha to Lobuche (4940 m/16,207 ft): 4km, 2 - 4 hours

  • Trek will continue from Dugla after breakfast along the moraine of Khumbu Glacier. Continuing the trek you will enter the Lobuche village at the foothills of Lobuche peak.

  • Day 10: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5170 m/16,961ft), visit Everest Base Camp (5364 m/17,594 ft): 13km, 6-7 hours

  • This may be a bit challenging while you walk along the Glacier to Gorak shep. You will be visiting the everest Base Camp at 5,365m. The Khumbu Icefall from the camp looks amazing. Overnight in Gorak shep.

  • Day 11: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545m/18,192ft) to Pherice (4,288m/14,070ft): 16km, 7-8 hours

  • The morning will be spent trekking up towards Kala Patthar. It can be challenging, yet the most spectacular view awaits past the challenge. You will be trekking down to Gorakshep and then even down to Pherice to spend the night there.

  •  Day 12: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,280 ft): 20km, 6 - 7 hours

  • The group will descend down to Namche bazaar along the Dudh Kosi river. You will cross the Buddhist settlement where animals are unharmed and will get to see many wild animals like pheasants and musk deer. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

  • Day 13: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,860m/9,186ft): 19km, 6 - 7 hours

  • As the retreating trek starts, you will be going down to more accommodating altitude of Jorsale. Finally you will reach Luka and stay there for the night.

  • Day 14: Fly to Kathmandu

  • You will be flying back to Kathmandu in the morning and call it a day.

  • Day 15: Final departure or Extend your stay
